2014 Leadership MSU Service Project

The Leadership MSU Class of 2014 invites the university community to participate in a Power of One Servant Leader Initiative. Members of this year's LMSU class have committed to participate in at least one hour of volunteer service before the end of August and  the group challenges all MSU faculty and staff to do the same.  Please pledge to volunteer and send your plans (number of hours and name of organization) for the upcoming months to powerofone@montana.edu. Feel free to share photos and stories of volunteer moments with your favorite organizations and don't miss upcoming MSU volunteer opportunities for "Good Neighbor Seminars", Bobcat Fest, and Commencement Clean-Up Day. Watch MSU Today for details and other opportunities.

Since 2008, Leadership MSU has been developing a cadre of leaders who contribute to the strength of the University and to our future success.  Each participant is given the opportunity to network with campus leaders, better understand how colleges and departments (academic and administrative) across the university work together, and enhance leadership skills.  Participants are also provided some great opportunities outside of the class time that include special seating at Convocation, and tickets to sporting events and guest speakers.  These are just a few of the 'extras' you or your faculty and staff might enjoy as part of the 2015 class of LMSU!

All MSU employees are eligible and applications will be accepted until May 1,2014.  The selection process will be completed by June 1, 2014 and selected participants and their departments will be notified at that time. The time commitment for the program is one day per month through the academic year, typically split between a Wednesday afternoon and a Thursday morning.

We look forward to the continued success of Leadership MSU.  Please consider who in your area (including yourself) would benefit from this opportunity. For application information please visit http://www.montana.edu/leadershipmsu/.  If you have any questions please email or call Jennifer Joyce at jkjoyce@montana.edu or 994-1625.
