Master of Science in Science Education Sixteenth Annual Symposium in Science Education
The Department of Intercollege Programs for Science Education is pleased to announce the 16th Annual Symposium in Science Education, June 30 - July 5, 2014. Eighty-one candidates from the Master of Science in Science Education (MSSE) program will be delivering presentations on their final capstone research projects in rooms 101 and 102 of Reid Hall. Presentations will begin at 7:00 am each morning and will continue through 6:00 pm each day with the exception of the July 4th holiday. MSU faculty, staff, and the general public are welcome to attend the presentations which will focus on teaching and learning science or on field-based science research. Candidates will celebrate completion of the MSSE program at a graduation dinner on Saturday, July 5 in Ballroom A of the Student Union Building. Mr. Terrill Paterson, MSSE course instructor/advisor and Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Ecology, will be the keynote speaker. He will talk about his work on population ecology and dynamics of Weddell Seal population in Erebus Bay, Antarctica, along with the educational opportunities that are resulting from this grant effort. Dr. Karlene Hoo, MSU Graduate Dean, will recognize this year's graduates.
