Gallatin College MSU celebration set for Feb. 7
Gallatin College Montana State University will host a celebration at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at Summit Aviation East Hangar near Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport in Belgrade.
The college's new logo and strategic plan, which was developed in support of the college's two-year education mission, will be presented at the event. Student work will be on display, and refreshments will be provided. Speakers will include MSU President Waded Cruzado; John Cech, deputy commissioner of two-year and community college education; Montana Board of Regents member Jeff Krauss; and Bob Hietala, dean of Gallatin College MSU.
With support from the Lumina Foundation and as part of the Montana University System's College!NOW initiative, Gallatin College MSU is working to make education more accessible and affordable, according to Hietala.
"Gallatin College MSU complements MSU's existing options to fulfill our community's workforce training and transfer education needs," Hietala said. "We look forward to continuing to work with the community to further identify and address these needs."
Gallatin College MSU offers programs and certificates in areas such as aviation, welding, interior design, design drafting technology, bookkeeping, medical assistant and residential building performance. It also offers developmental coursework in math and writing, as well as dual enrollment courses in association with Bozeman High School.
