NanoDays outreach committee seeks faculty and sponsors

The MSU committee that hosts the university's annual NanoDays public outreach event seeks faculty and departments who are interested in helping plan, sponsor or volunteer for this year's event, which will be held on April 11, 2013.

NanoDays has taken place at MSU since 2008, and is a National Science Foundation-supported effort to help the public better understanding the scientific and societal implications of nanoscale science and engineering.

The committee seeks faculty who are researching in or teaching about nano. The field is very broad, including nano in literature and the media; ethical questions about nano; the economics of nano, etc. The committee also needs departments who can give financial support for the event.

There will also be opportunities for student volunteers to participate in nano outreach.
