Starting 5:30 pm on Friday, February 22nd - and ending 1:30 pm on Saturday, February 23rd, ASMSU and the Leadership Institute will host an inspiring overnight outdoor leadership training at the 2013 Leadership Summit: Outdoor Leading, Upward Thinking. Participants will be given opportunities to learn from key outdoor leaders such as:

  • Deb Love: Conservationist and Northern Rockies Director for the Trust for Public Lands
  • Steve Eshbaugh: Environmental Educator and Executive Director of the Montana Outdoor Science School
  • Evan Tennant: Action Seeker, Innovator, and President of Phar North, LLC
  • Kent Davis: Film, Theater and Television Actor Specializing in Creating Creative and Connection Driven Environments

The Summit will focus on the area of outdoor leadership and its influences on such varied  fields as business, non-profits, and education. Participants will receive in-depth training on a variety of issues pertaining to these fields and will gain skills aimed at helping them to pursue their career interests for outdoor-oriented enterprises. In addition, team building activities include broomball, sledding and an evening bonfire. 

The event is $15 and open to MSU students, with transportation, three meals, lodging and all materials included!
