Lecture on physics and the role of science in our lives set for March 1


Lisa Randall, a leading expert on particle physics and cosmology, and the best-selling author of Warped Passages and Knocking on Heaven's Door, will give a public lecture at the Crawford Theatre, Emerson Cultural Center on Friday, March 1, at 7:30 pm.  Randall, who is the Frank B. Baird, Jr. Professor of Science at Harvard University, was the first tenured woman in the Physics Department at Princeton University and the first tenured female theoretical physicist at both MIT and Harvard University.  She will discuss the latest ideas in physics and the role of science in our lives.  

The event is sponsored by MSU, the Dept. of Physics, and the Montana Space Grant Consortium.
