Application deadline for USP & INBRE summer research grants has been extended to Friday, March 1.
The Undergraduate Scholars Program (USP) and INBRE will be accepting proposals for Summer 2013 projects until Friday, 1 March.
USP & INBRE provide funding for undergraduate students to pursue research and creative projects under the direction of faculty mentors. Students applying through the general USP program can apply for up to $1,530 in stipend/project support for summer term. USP welcomes proposals from all disciplines and departments across the university. Students interested in conducting full-time research related to biomedical sciences or social and behavioral sciences are encouraged to apply for funding through the INBRE program. The INBRE summer research program provides up to $4500 in stipend support. USP & INBRE funding gives students the opportunity to learn-by-doing and also can benefit faculty research and creative activity by engaging undergraduates in projects supporting long-term scholarly goals.
Proposals should be written by students with advice and editorial assistance from faculty mentors. Please consult the USP website (http://www.montana.edu/usp/) for up-to-date information on deadlines and application procedures. The USP website includes step-by-step directions and links to all necessary forms. Examples of successful projects can be found in the MSU Research Conference archive. Please contact usp@montana.edu or 994-3561 for more information.
