Event: Landscapes: Prints by Gesine Janzen When: Monday, November 2, 2009, 9:00 AM - Friday, November 13, 2009, 5:00 PM Where: Exit Gallery, SUB Description: ASMSU Campus Entertainment presents: "Landscapes," a collection of new prints by Gesine Janzen made possibly by a MSU Scholarship and Creativity Grant. The exhibit will be showing in the Exit Gallery November 2 - 13. There will be a free public artist reception Wednesday, November 4 from 5-7pm. Gesine Janzen was born in Newton, Kansas in 1967. She received undergraduate degrees in art from Bethel College and the University of Kansas, and earned her MFA in Printmaking from the University of Iowa in 1998. Her work has been exhibited widely, both nationally and internationally, including a recent show at the International Print Center of New York. Her prints are included in public and corporate collections such as the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, the Hallmark collection, and Sprint in Kansas City. She has taught at the Kansas City Art Institute, the University of Missouri in Kansas City, and is currently working as Associate Professor of Art and Head of Printmaking at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana.
