Tuba Kick-Off Concert by MSU Bands

In appreciation to the Bobcat community for supporting the Spirit of the West marching band, the School of Music will present a "Tuba Kick-off Concert" in Reynolds Recital Hall on the evening of on Friday, September 13th, 2013 at 7:30pm. The concert will feature world-renowned tuba artist, Patrick Sheridan, performing alongside MSU students and the Spirit of the West Marching Band with special appearances by Montana State faculty. This concert is an excellent opportunity to experience the outstanding student talent we have at MSU in a fun and friendly format. Music selections are designed to be entertaining and showcase the quality of the performers.
Patrick Sheridan is one of the most celebrated soloists in his instrument's history. He has performed more than 3,000 concerts in over 50 countries in venues ranging from the White House to NBA half-time shows to the Hollywood Bowl. At 20 years of age, Patrick became a member of "The President's Own" United States Marine Band. During his military service, he thrilled audiences across the United States with his amazing virtuosity and musicianship as one of the band's primary soloists. Since then, Patrick has gone on to become an incredibly diverse artist with concert performances transcending stylistic genres and has created fans around the world for his instrument, the tuba.
