Settlements and Rituals - A Critical Rediscovery of the Northern Rockies

These papers discuss rules for design in National Forests, temporary settlements with lessons from Burning Man, and the cosmological significance of native American medicine wheels

The symposium, "A critical discovery of the Northern Rockies", asks the question of how we should understand where we live. This interdisciplinary event is sponsored by the College of Arts and Architecture at Montana State University

There are exhibitions, performances and many presentations from MSU faculty and other national and international participants, including architects, anthropologists, artists geographers, historians, film makers and musicians.

The Keynote speech is on Friday the 11th October and other events are on Saturday 11th October

All events are free and open to the public
