Safety and Risk Management will host a Hazard Communication Course.
OSHA has updated their Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) and requires that all employees that work with Hazardous Chemicals (cleaning and industrial chemicals, laboratory chemicals, solvents or acids, mechanical fluids, etc.) must be trained to the new standard prior to December 1, 2013. This course is critical to understanding the risks of exposure to chemicals, and is an invaluable tool for you to stay safe. All individuals to which this standard applies are required to receive an updated training as new chemical hazards are introduced. Supervisors shall identify which of their employees will need this training.
