Wine & Cheese Reception
Gallatin Historical Society and Pioneer Museum
To honor the 100th Anniversary of Women's Suffrage in Montana in 2014, the 2011 Montana Legislature authorized the placement of a "Women's Mural" in the Capitol. Its purpose is to honor the women of Montana and acknowledge their many contributions to building communities across the state. While the Legislature approved space for the Mural, it did not authorized money for its painting or upkeep. Thus, funds for the Mural need to be raised privately. Former Representative Diane Sands, co-author of the bill that authorized the Mural, will discuss the current status of the project and its companion effort, "The Story Project."
This event will be held at the Gallatin Historical Society and Pioneer Museum located at 317 West Main Street in Bozeman.
The cost of this event is: Donations appreciated; Suggested $50 minimum.
