Obamacare: What the Affordable Care Act Means for Montanans

Friday, November 8, 2013 at Noon
Pilgrim Congregational Church

Join Wonderlust, a lifelong learning organization affiliated with MSU's Extended University, for a free Friday Forum. Montana Insurance Commissioner Monica Lindeen will speak about the Affordable Care Act and its effects.

Questions she's been asked to address include:

Who will benefit from the ACA and how will they benefit? Who will not benefit?
How well is the enrollment process working in Montana?
How was the Medicaid expansion supposed to work, what does Montana's failure to pass it mean, and what are the prospects for the issue's being addressed  in the next legislature?
How will the ACA  affect organizations like Bozeman-Belgrade-Livingston's Community Health Partners, which currently provides services to low income, uninsured clients?
How will Bozeman Deaconess Hospital (now Health Group) be affected?
More generally, is the ACA likely to have significant impacts on health care costs?

Friday Forums are free and open to the public. Attendees are invited to bring lunch; cookies and coffee are provided.

The cost of this event is: Free and open to the public
