5th Annual Fast-a-Thon
Strand Union Building, Ballrooms, A and B
Are you hungry for change? Millions of people battle hunger every day, even those right here in the Gallatin Valley community. As a reminder of the daily perils faced by those in poverty, the Muslim Student Association encourages individuals to abstain from food and drink from dawn until dusk on February 24th. At 6:00PM, participants of the Fast-a-thon event are invited to join in a dinner to break their fast, and be audience to a presentation about the relevance of fasting in Islam and the issue of hunger on our own community. We ask those attending the dinner to donate the money they would have spent on food that day, or bring a non-perishable food item instead. All donations will go directly to the Gallatin Valley food bank.
The meal to break the fast will begin at 6:00 pm in Strand Union Ballrooms A and B. Doors open at 5:30 pm. All funds raised will be donated to the Gallatin Valley Food Bank. To attend this year's Fast-aThon event, please register at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/FastaThon.
