Omega House in Athens: Christianizing the City of Athena
Museum of the Rockies, Hager Auditorium
ARCHAEOLOGY INSTITUTE OF AMERICA LECTURE SERIES.
Barbara Tsakirgis examines the architectural and decorative aspects of the Athenian Agora, a large Late Roman house uncovered on the slopes of the Areopagus dating to the fourth through sixth centuries after Christ. Her lecture examines whether evidence found in the house is convincing enough to indicate that Christians resided in the house before its destruction.
