Sack Lunch Seminar: "The Challenges of Prosecuting Sexual Violence Cases"
Prosecuting rapists is critical to a society that takes sexual assault offenses, public safety, and justice for victims seriously. However, national averages suggest that less than 20% of sexual assaults are ever reported to the police, and, a mere fraction of those cases make it to prosecution. Join the VOICE Center staff and professionals in the fields of investigation and prosecution for this discussion of the politics and challenges faced when investigating and adjudicating sexual violence cases.
