The Montana State University Wind Symphony will present an afternoon concert featuring guest trumpet artist and composer Samuel Wells. The program will include instrumental solos, a performance from the percussion ensemble, and the Montana premier of "Castle Rock," a new work composed by our guest artist. As part of our New Perspectives on Music Series, audience members will hear special effects created by mixing digital media with live sound. We will also perform the Student Choice Award of 2014, this year going to Sir Malcolm Arnold's "Four Scottish Dances."
Beginning at 3:00pm in the Reynolds Recital Hall. We will continue to provide our pre-concert narrative about the compositional effects to be performed that afternoon. The duration of the concert is 90 minutes, which includes a short intermission.
Admission $10/$5 Tickets available at the door or online. Proceeds support the purchase of new music and travel expenses for our guest artist.
