Here is an opportunity to contribute your ideas and expertise to the long-term Performance Funding model that will be used in the next biennium to allocate a portion of state funding for public universities in Montana. After a year of discussion about performance funding at MSU and across the Montana University System, the time is now upon us to formulate and design incentive- and outcome-based metrics for allocating state funds.
A statewide steering committee and an MSU faculty task force are working on the development of meaningful metrics that align with our campus mission and emphasize the preservation of MSU's high quality education. Please consider the charette as an opportunity to collaborate and contribute to the metric development process.
We welcome and encourage input from all faculty, staff and students regarding this important process. Suggestions made at the charettes will be reviewed and evaluated for presentation to the Montana Board of Regents in May.
