39th Annual American Indian Council Pow Wow

The 39th Annual Montana State University American Indian Council Pow Wow will be held April 11th-12th at MSU's Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.
The MSU pow wow is one of the largest in Montana and the pow wow events are free and open to all.
The pow wow begins at 6 p.m. Friday, April 11, with the grand entry. There will also be grand entries at noon and 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 12. Dance and drum competitions with cash prizes are always a key feature of the event. Booths around the edge of the dance arena will offer the crafts of traditional artists and artisans throughout the pow wow.
Host drum group will be Midnite Express of St. Paul, Minnesota. Emeritus Katz Endowed Chair, Henrietta Mann, longtime American Indian Student Support Services tutor, Roger Fischer and outgoing Director of American Indian/Alaska Native Student Success, Scott Zander will be honored with honor dances. Head woman dancer is Christiane Parrish, Crow and head man dancer is Emery Three Irons, Crow. Master of ceremonies will be Kasey Nicholson, White Clay and Chris "Supaman" Parrish, Crow. The arena director is Terry Brockie, White Clay.
A Nation's Prayer Breakfast will be held at 9 a.m. April 12, at MSU's Brick Breeden Fieldhouse. There will also be an Alumni Brunch on Saturday, April 12 at 9:30 a.m. in Hall of Fame Room at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.
