Research shows that one year after graduating from college, women are earning an average of just 80 percent of what their male counterparts earn.
A $tart $mart ($$) Salary Negotiation Workshop will help MSU women raise that percentage. Join us for this interactive and effective training session so that you leave MSU with the skills to successfully negotiate a fair and equitable salary. The introductory workshop runs from 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 21st in REID 401 on the MSU campus. A Facilitator Training will be held that same day in the afternoon from 2-4 p.m.
This American Association of University Women (AAUW) and WAGE Project workshop is designed to empower college women who are soon to enter the job market with the tools to negotiate salaries and benefits. National presenter Annie Houle will facilitate this on-campus workshop.
The $$ workshop is FREE and lunch will be provided, and several scholarship positions are offered for the Facilitator Training, but you must register online by Friday, March 6th. For more information, contact Betsy Danforth at email@example.com.
