This info session is a repeat of the info session on Monday, Feb. 23.
Faculty, staff, students and community partners are invited to participate in the NanoDays/MicroDays science outreach event hosted by Extended University and Montana NSF EPSCoR on April 13. This short session will give information about the event and how to participate.
Each year, the NanoDays event reaches hundreds of children and adults. This year, in addition to nanoscale science and engineering, any researcher who is working on "small science" (microbiology, microchemistry, etc.) is welcome to participate. Volunteers can create their own hands-on demonstration or activity, or, use one of the kit activities provided by the Nanoscale Informal Science Education Network (NISENet). The event is a great opportunity to share MSU research with the public. Science communications training is provided for volunteers.
Extended University also seeks faculty from the social sciences who are interested in helping the public understand the societal impacts of this emerging scientific field. Training materials and resources are available from NISENet.
