A limited number of tickets to a live stream of Neil deGrasse Tyson's upcoming lecture at Montana State University will be available for the public to purchase beginning Feb 23 at 10am.
The live stream will take place at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, in room 101 of Gaines Hall on the MSU campus.
Tickets are $5 and are available for the public to purchase beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23. Tickets may be purchased at the Bobcat Ticket Office, the Ask Us Desk in MSU's Strand Union Building, Rosauers, by phone at 406-994-CATS or 800-808-5940 and online at http://www.Ticketswest.com.
Tyson is an astrophysicist, cosmologist, author and one of the most recognized science communicators in America today. His MSU lecture sold out within two hours, according to Carmen McSpadden, director of the MSU Leadership Institute
Due to the event's high demand, McSpadden said the Associated Students of MSU and MSU Leadership Institute arranged for the live audio and video stream of the lecture.
Tyson's lecture is sponsored by the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation, the MSU Office of the President, Office of the Provost, Leadership Institute, Office of Research and Economic Development, College of Engineering, ASMSU, Montana PBS, and Gallatin Valley Furniture Carpet One.
