Innovative Ideation Class Presentations: Redefining the Third Act of Life
- Friday, May 1, 2015 from 5:00pm to 6:30pm
- Cheever Hall - view map
This invite is for the class presentations for the DSEL Innovative Ideation class. (This is one of the two DSEL/Design Sandbox for Engaged Learning courses that ran this semester). It was team taught by three faculty (Design, Business, Engineering) and the student makeup is from those same disciplines. What we are doing at DSEL is similar to what Stanford d-School is well-known for: interdisciplinary education that deploys the design thinking process. MSU's version is focused on undergraduate learning. Each student team was made up of all three disciplines. Their project was to “Redefine the Third Act” — basically look at aging and how we can make growing old a more graceful, interesting, rewarding enterprise. Student Projects look at not only products but experiences.
There will be 6 presentations, 10 minutes each.
There will be a potluck dinner in the DSEL space downstairs directly following the presentations.
