The Evolution of Prospective Elementary Teachers' Competencies

This presentation will introduce the research problem and questions, then discuss the methodology, results, and conclusions from the study of prospective elementary teachers' competencies - procedural knowledge, mathematical knowledge for teaching, attitudes toward mathematics, and enactment of mathematical practices - as they move through the first two of three mathematics content courses for elementary teachers using an inquiry-based curriculum.
