Laura Camilleri is a PhD candidate in microbiology and immunology at MSU. Her research focuses on the syntrophic interactions in an anaerobic biofilm between the sulfate reducing bacteria, Desulfovibrio vulgaris Hildenborough, and the archaeal methanogen, Methanococcus maripaludis.
She studies and works at the CBE under the supervision of Dr. Matthew Fields, professor of microbiology and immunology. Laura received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Wyoming.
