Tatsuya Akiyama is a PhD student in microbiology and immunology at MSU. His research focuses on dormant subpopulations in Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm. He studies and works at the CBE under the supervision of Dr. Michael Franklin, professor of microbiology. Tatsuya received his undergraduate degree in biology from Northeastern State University, and his master's degree in environmental science from University of Arkansas.
