- Roberts Hall - view map
Dr. Kokoska is a microbiology program manager at the Army Research Office (ARO). He will present some background on the overall goals/mission of the ARO, the research thrusts sponsored by ARO's Life Sciences Division and his interests as the microbiology program manager. He will discuss his vision of the types of microbial community-based research that he wishes to attract (which would include research directly involved with the study of biofilms) and how it fits in with the internal Army laboratory missions.
Dr. Kokoska will also provide some biofilm-related published research results from active projects in his program. He will discuss a variety of interests relating to interspecies microbial communication and dynamics; and the microbiology of communities within biofilms.
Dr. Kokoska is currently scheduled to meet with several CBE & MSU faculty and researchers. If you’d like to check on any openings on his agenda, please contact Paul Sturman at firstname.lastname@example.org
Presentation: "Basic Research Priorities – Army Research Office Microbiology Program and Life Science" at the weekly CBE seminar in Roberts 321.
