The HELPS Lab is a data collection facility located in the Department of Political Science that specializes in social science research, specifically data collection. The HELPS Lab has served a diverse array of clients from the fields of agriculture, business, ecology, health and human development, political science, and sociology. The HELPS Lab offers services that include online, print, and telephone surveys; interviews and transcriptions; focus groups with audience response systems; computer based experiments, and data cleaning. The HELPS Lab offers free consultations about research projects and proposals. These consultations provide practical insight about the data collection ingredients of research projects and proposals. After the consultation we offer free cost estimates for our services. Our consultations are scheduled by appointment with Robin Clausen (firstname.lastname@example.org) or during one of our weekly sessions in Wilson 2-111 (Tuesday at 1pm).
