Engineering Senior Design Fair
- Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm
- Strand Union Building - view map
The semi-annual Engineering Design Fair showcases senior design "capstone" projects from students majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering Technology.
The senior capstone experience represents the culmination of each student's undergraduate program. Working in small teams, the students design and implement a system or process with real-world constraints on schedule, cost, sustainability, manufacturability, health/safety, etc. The senior capstone projects have a project sponsor and a faculty advisor, and typically involve two semesters of full-fledged design and implementation effort.
In addition, students from EELE 101 Introduction to Electrical Engineering will be testing their autonomous robotic vehicles in Ballrooms C&D.
The Design Fair is a display of student projects: free and open to the public to drop by and walk around Ballroom A.
