Students who plan to study abroad for a minimum of four weeks and are receiving, or are eligible to receive, a Federal Pell Grant are eligible to apply for this scholarship opportunity. As of spring 2017, there have been 16 MSU students to receive the Gilman since 2012.

The Office of International Programs - Study Abroad provides resources, advise, and workshops for students to prepare and apply for this competitive program. In collaboration with the MSU Writing Center, workshops will be held in February 2017 for any student interested in learning more. Check the MSU Study Abroad Important Dates for more information.
