Dr. Thomas Webster is the Chair and a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Northeastern University in Boston. He earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His research focus is the design, synthesis, and evaluation of nanomaterials for various medical applications such as bacterial growth inhibition and tissue growth promotion. He is also interested in anti-cancer applications for nanomaterials, in situ biosensors that respond in real time to changes in medical device implants, and human health toxicity of nanomaterials.
