IoE Rough Cut Talk - Dr. Neva Hassanein - Regional Food Systems On The Rise

Dr. Neva Hassanein from UM-Missoula will be on campus giving a Rough Cut talk titled, "Regional Food Systems on the Rise: Implications for Resilience and Democracy in Montana". Dr. Hassanein is Professor of Environmental Studies at the University of Montana. Author of Changing the Way America Farms: Knowledge and Community in the Sustainable Agriculture Movement (University of Nebraska Press, 1999), Neva has also published articles on contemporary agriculture and community-based, democratic food systems. Neva and her students have helped strengthen Montana’s food system through civic engagement and community-based action research.
