The MSU VOICE Center is dsiplaying an interactive and meaningful collection of art created by survivors of sexual violence in the Bozeman and MSU community. Join us on April 6th and 7th from 9-5 in SUB Ballroom B to explore an interactive survivor experience, view art created by survivors throughout their healing process, and see the opening of the Bozeman FACES project.
The main goal of the exhibit is for survivors to be empowered to share their story and break the silence about sexual assault and relationship violence, providing awareness and education to our community and creating a network of support for survivors. This collection of works provides a place for survivors to share their courage and knowledge with our community through portraits, patinings, sketches, and stories. The works are representative of where each person is in their healing journey and can portray whatever the survivor is comfortable sharing.
There will also be materials available for survivors in attendance to create their own artwork with the option of donating their works to be displayed in the art show in future years.
***The Survivor Art Display and FACES Gallery Opening is one of many events included in the Take Back The Night 2017 event series. For more information on Take Back The Night, please contact the VOICE Center Main Office at 406-994-7662 or visit our event page.
