Columbia River Chapter: Earth Day Event

The Columbia River Chapter is partnering with SOLV Oregon on Earth Day for a hands-on project to return the Baltimore Woods area to its natural habitat.
Saturday, April 22 | 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Gateway to Baltimore Woods
North Baltimore Avenue & Decatur Street
Directions: Enter the St. Johns Business District on Lombard Street. (from the east, follow detour signs.) At Baltimore Avenue, turn toward the Willamette River, and proceed four blocks. Watch for Work Party directional signs on your right at Decatur Street (a rutted, undeveloped road). Park there, and proceed on foot along Decatur Street 100 yards to the work site.
Activities will include invasive plant removal, litter cleanup, maintenance and monitoring. The project will have muddy areas and steep slopes. Children over the age of 10 are permitted by SOLV.
Tools and guidance will be provided by Portland Parks & Recreation, refreshments and camaraderie, by the local Friends of Baltimore Woods.
