In this year of MSU’s Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Plan, don’t miss a special opportunity to work with Dr. Nancy “Rusty” Barceló, brought to you by the MSU Professional Council!
Dr. Barceló will facilitate an interactive discussion exploring the opportunities and challenges working with diverse students, faculty and staff. The discussion will provide an overview regarding the myths and realities of a diverse campus. The workshop will also explore the roles of staff and faculty in addressing issues and opportunities that contribute to a welcoming and inclusive campus.
When registering for this event, participants are requested to submit a question they would like answered regarding diversity issues in higher education.
Dr. Barceló is the former Vice President and Vice Provost for Equity and Diversity at the University of Minnesota and former Vice President and Vice Provost for Minority Affairs and Diversity at the University of Washington. Dr. Barceló has earned a national reputation for her scholarship and leadership on diversity in higher education, and she has provided expertise and guidance to MSU this year during its strategic planning process.
