The Department of Defense provides over $1 Billion a year in R&D funding through its SBIR and STTR programs. MSU researchers can tap into this funding which is often overlooked by universities.
MSU TechLink's Fall SBIR Lunch & Learn series concludes by looking at Air Force, Navy, Army and other Department of Defense agencies Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) funding opportunities.
Join us to discuss how SBIR funding may work for your innovative product idea. We'll help you understand how you can qualify for hundreds of thousands of dollars of federal funding that does not need to be matched or repaid. Sponsored by the MSU Office of Research and Economic Development, representatives from MSU TechLink and the Montana Technology Innovation Partnership will help you understand the SBIR program, qualification requirements and the application process.
You'll also learn about free assistance available to help you with proposal development and submission assistance, commercialization planning, technology transfer and intellectual property.
Researchers in all areas are welcome to attend, although this session will be focused on funding from Department of Defense agencies.
