CBE Seminar Series presents Dr. Brent Peyton

Dr. Peyton will be presenting “Hot Brain Eating Biofilms, Synthetic Extremophiles, Microbial Ecology of Coal Mine-Impacted Waters, and Kangaroos,” at this week's CBE seminar in Roberts 113. Dr. Peyton is the director of MSU's Thermal Biology Institute and a professor in MSU’s Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. He's also been an affiliated faculty member of the CBE for over ten years. Dr. Peyton's work focuses on fundamental and applied research of biofuels, extremophilic bioprocessing, and in situ biocatalyzed heavy metal transformations. He recently returned from a sabbatical in Australia and will be presenting the highlights from his trip at this seminar.
