Plant Production and Protection Biology & Engineering. Air, Waters, and Soils. Rural Development. Food Science & Nutrition. Aquaculture. Small & Mid-Size Farms.
Investigator-initiated innovations in these and many other areas are sought after by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA).
If you are an MSU researcher working with or considering starting a Montana small business, join us Wednesday, February 14th to learn more about Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) funding.
And, lunch... sandwiches & drinks ... we'll provide some of those, too.
We'll look at the broad topic areas funded by NIFA under their SBIR program. We'll also help you understand how you may compete for hundreds of thousands of dollars of federal funding that does not need to be matched or repaid.
Sponsored by the MSU Office of Research and Economic Development, representatives from MSU TechLink and the Montana Technology Innovation Partnership will help you navigate the SBIR program basics, the requirements, and how to get started.
You'll also learn about free proposal review and submission assistance available to you.
Researchers in ALL areas are welcome to attend. We'll cover general information about the SBIR program and delve into some of the specifics about the USDA/NIFA SBIR funding opportunities.
