Complete a campus climate survey for diversity by April 25th for a chance to win $50
MSU recently completed its first Diversity and Inclusion Framework which will guide MSU in achieving institutional goals around equity and inclusion. As part of this effort, MSU’s Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council is partnering with the Higher Education Research Institute (HERI) to conduct a campus climate survey about diversity and inclusion.
This survey has been sent to a random sample of MSU students, faculty and staff. It asks individuals to share information about interactions on campus, sources of stress and satisfaction, perceptions of the campus climate for diversity, and their overall experience as a member of the MSU community. The survey does not ask for individually identifying information. The results will be used to inform campus work related to diversity and inclusion and to identify ways to improve the campus climate. Individuals who were selected to participate are encouraged to complete the survey. Those who complete the survey will be entered to win one of 100 $50 VISA gift cards. The survey closes on April 25, and VISA gift card winners will be notified after that date.
Please note that the campus climate survey was emailed from firstname.lastname@example.org (with an associated name of “MSU Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council”) and may have been delivered to participants’ “Other” email folders. Members of the campus community are encouraged to check their email folders to see if they were selected to participate. The survey was sent to students and staff on March 28 and to faculty on April 4. Reminder emails are being sent to individuals selected to receive the survey each Wednesday until the survey closes.
More information about the survey is available on the HERI website at https://heri.ucla.edu/diverse-learning-environments-survey/ or by contacting Becca Belou at(406) 994-4339.
