The Montana Supreme Court: Structure, Function, and the Law and Principles That Guide Its Work
PART 1 - Noon to 1:30 p.m.
Through stories of compelling cases from her 16 years as a Justice of the Montana Supreme Court, Pat Cotter will illustrate the essential work of our state's highest court - and describe how and why that work impacts the lives of all Montanans.

PART 2 - 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
This session will examine cases in which citizens' fundamental rights under the Montana Constitution - such as the right to privacy and the right to know - collide. Stories in this session will illuminate the often delicate balance of power among the three branches of government.
What's in the Montana Constitution? An Overview for Citizens Like You
6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
In this evening program, Pat Cotter will lead participants on a journey through the Montana Constitution. An ideal overview for both longtime residents and new arrivals to Montana!
