William G. McCallum, a University Distinguished Professor of Mathematics and head of the Department of Mathematics at the University of Arizona, will present "Igniting the Core: A Once in a Generation Chance for Mathematics Education," as part of MSU's Mathematical Sciences Colloquium Series.
The Department of Mathematical Sciences, the dean of the College of Letters and Science, and the Office of the Vice President for Research, Creativity and Technology Transfer are sponsoring this lecture.
