Montana State University President Waded Cruzado will hold a Town Hall meeting for students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, in the Procrastinator Theater of MSU's Student Union Building.
Cruzado will discuss the state of the university, including preliminary fall enrollment figures, current research and building activity as well as report on her Freshman 15 initiative. The initiative encourages freshman to take 15 or more credits each semester. The initiative helps students complete most degrees in four years at MSU, and also represents a financial savings. For instance, a resident student will save $816 per semester by taking 15 credits.
Cruzado will be joined at the meeting by several MSU officials who will offer updates. Among them, Provost Martha Potvin will speak on academic initiatives at MSU. Chris Fastnow, interim director of planning and analysis, will discuss MSU's Strategic Plan that was approved earlier this month.
