Exhibitors deadline for International Mountain Day
MSU departments, student organizations and community non-profits that desire to have an exhibitor's booth at International Mountain Day on Dec. 11 must sign up by Nov. 30.
MSU and community partners host the inaugural celebration of International Mountain Day on Dec. 11. The event, which was begun by the United Nations and is celebrated throughout the world, is an opportunity to create awareness about the importance of mountains to life, to highlight the opportunities and constraints in mountain development and to build partnerships that will bring positive change to the world's mountains and highlands.
MSU departments and student organizations are encouraged to have a booth at the exhibitors' fair. Any groups that tie to International Mountain Day's theme of mountain cultures and ecosystems through education, research, service or adventure are eligible to participate.
The event takes place in the ballroom and theatre of Bozeman's Emerson Cultural Center.
An exhibitor's fair from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. will feature MSU departments and community organizations. Featured speakers, beginning at 7 p.m., include mountaineer/author Conrad Anker, MSU geologist Dr. David Lageson, and MSU graduate student Travis Corthouts.
Admission is free.
The event is sponsored by the MSU Office of International Programs, the Institute on Ecosystems, and Montana NSF EPSCoR.
The cost of this event is: Free and open to the public
