Transgender Day of Remembrance: Candlelight Vigil

Held annually on November 20, Transgender Day of Remembrance serves as a day to memorialize those who have been killed as a result of transphobiaor the hatred or fear of transgender and gender non-conforming people, and acts to bring attention to the continued violence endured by the transgender community.
MSU will commemorate TDoR with a brief presentation on transgender issues and transgender people through out history.
In the evening, there will be a candlelight vigil remembering those lives lost in the last year.
The transgender presentation will be held at 1pm in Strand Union 233.
At 7pm, candle light vigil and reading of names will take place in Strand Union room 235.
