Montana Weatherization Training Center Open House
- Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm
On December 13th from 12:00 to 4:00PM, if you have time before the Montana State University Holiday Open House, come to the Montana Weatherization Training Center for an energy audit demonstration and Open House for all interested MSU Faculty and Students. The Training Center is an essential partner for the new Certificate of Applied Science in Residential Building Performance offered through Gallatin College Montana State University. Students this year will pursue careers in Regional Native American housing initiatives, climate action programs, contracting, city and county policy, as entrepreneurs, and as Department of Energy Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) employees.
The Montana Weatherization Training Center represents a partnership between MSU Extension and the Montana Department of Health and Human Services and has provided residential energy conservation, health and safety training, and environmental health courses for over 20 years. Our 15,000 square foot facility has a state-of-the-art lecture hall, a pressure diagnostics lab, a computer lab, an HVAC trouble shooting and training room, meeting rooms, and a conference facility. Demonstrations and refreshments will be available during the Open House.
Please RSVP to Jeffrey Moore at 406-223-5885 or at Jeffrey.Moore@montana.edu if you plan to attend so that we can plan accordingly.
From I-90, Take Exit 309 and remain on "Frontage Road" traveling East. Proceed 0.7 from the off-ramp to the Training Center on your right. We are located just 0.2 miles East of the Subaru dealership. Look for the "Montana Weatherization Training Center" building signs, flag pole, and our curved red roof.
