Celebrating Einstein's Shout Across Time

The culmination of the Celebrating Einstein event, Shout Across Time, will strive to bring Einstein and his masterpiece, the theory of General Relativity, to the general public. Experience Einstein's universe, from black holes and neutron stars to gravitational waves, through the eyes of artists in music and visual performance. The piece will feature dancers from the Headwaters Dance Company, a live interview with a world renowned physicist Prof. Jim Gates (Director of the Center for String and Particle Theory at University of Maryland, member of President's Obama Science Advisory Panel and recent awardee of the Presidential Medial of Science) and Prof. Bernard Schutz (Director of the Astrophysical Relativity Department of the Albert Einstein Institute in Germany), a live performance by the MSU Symphony Orchestra, and an original film all celebrating Einstein and his ideas.
