25th annual bug buffet set Feb. 22 at MSU

Cricket stir fry, wax moth quesadillas and mealworm dream bars are among the dishes to be served during the 25th annual bug buffet at Montana State University.

Besides eating insects, participants can learn how insects are an important source of nutrition in many areas of the world, said MSU entomologist and event organizer Florence Dunkel. Attendees can also sample honey, watch cooking demonstrations, view films and learn about research conducted by Dunkel's students. Beekeeper Dave Baumbauer will discuss bees at noon and 2:10 p.m.
