March FAST, or Faculty, Administration, and Staff Teamwork in Service volunteer opportunity
In 2012, Montana State University adopted a new strategic plan, with one of the three main goals emphasizing Engagement. In early 2013, the Office of Activities and Engagement developed Faculty Administration and Staff Teamwork for service, or FAST.
FAST is the fulfillment our University's assertion that the sharing of intellectual and human assets has a powerful impact on both the Campus Community and the Bozeman and surrounding communities, and is simply the right thing to do.
Join our FAST Service Program! Once per month, Faculty, Administration, and Staff from across the campus join forces to engage in service projects and make a difference in our community. With only one commitment per month, this is a great way to fit service into your busy schedule! Our goal is to report 100 hours of volunteerism by Faculty, Administration, and Staff by April 15, 2013.
March FAST opportunity:
Where: Eagle Mount, 6901 Goldenstein Ln.
When: Saturday, March 16 from 3:30pm-8pm
RSVP: By 5:00pm on March 8
Saturday Night Out (SNO) is the first Eagle Mount program structured with the key objective of giving parents enough time off to actually go to a movie, eat out or as one mom disclosed "just being able to have one-on-one time with our older son."
A second, valuable aspect of the SNO program is the opportunity for participants to have plenty of social interaction. The program is designed for our participants between the ages of 8 and 20. Throughout the evening board games, dancing, arts and crafts, and other activities offer participants a chance to develop social skills with each other and with volunteers.
Contact Robin Mayer, Office of Activities and Engagement, at email@example.com or 994-2837 with questions. To volunteer, please place FAST in the subject line. Volunteers must RSVP by Friday, March 8.
