Are There Really Learning Styles? What Does the Literature Say?
Strand Union Building, Room 235
During this roundtable we will discuss a journal article that presents a meta-analysis of research conducted on learning styles. This article concludes that there is not an adequate evidence base to justify incorporating learning-style assessments into educational practice. Expect a lively dialogue! Participants are asked to read the related article prior to the workshop (access the article at http://www.montana.edu/teachlearn/documents/mar7_Pashlerarticle.pdf).
Roundtable discussion facilitated by Tracy Dougher, Plant Sciences & Plant Pathology; Marilyn Lockhart, Center for Faculty Excellence; and others from the Teaching Excellence Action Committee.
Registration is required by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Mar. 5. To register, go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LSF6DJP
