Thursday, April 18, 2013, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm
Museum of the Rockies, Hager Auditorium

Presented by the Elise R. Donohue Lectures of the American West and Museum of the Rockies, Jeff Kurtti, long-time Disney historian and author, provides insightful discussion of Walt Disney and his company's commitment to America's national parks. Always a promoter of travel tourism, Walt Disney brought the wonders of national parks into theaters and home televisions around the world. Mr. Kurtti will share his knowledge of and experience with The Walt Disney Company as he explores Mr. Disney's personal dedication to travel, tourism and America's national park system.

Jeff Kurtti is a renowned cross-media storyteller, author of more than 25 books, and previously worked for Walt Disney Imagineering, the theme park division of The Walt Disney Company, as well as for the Corporate Special Projects department of Disney.

One of Kurtti's most challenging and personally rewarding projects was The Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco. After 5 years acting as creative director, content consultant and media producer for the facility's cornerstone exhibit, Kurtti saw the museum become a reality, opening to great acclaim in October 2009.
